Concentrating on the carceral camps
I plead that someone please holler out about the caustic accosted humans that costs us our humanity
Penalized by a punitive system that pins down pigment
Predicated on pride
The white in eyes
Fried like the yolk of
We’re over how uneasy
The systemic stench
Insists in the cyclical
Senselessness of sentencing
Our brothers and sisters
To the singe of systematic
Sin perpetuated by
A government meant
To mint the fermentation
Of their beloved experiments
With a calculated lack of consideration
For the profound traumatization
Incurred by the poverty
Of policy for reformation
Of jails and prisons—the secretive segregation
That everyone knows about
But ain’t doing shit about
Deafened
Deadened
The defendant cannot fend
Cannot win
Not when defended by the public’s disinterest
Blisters of ignorance
Bliss bolstered up
Blips in the comfort of society
Built in WTF?
